Departure

This is the first picture of me on the boat. I'm in the buffet section for lunch... eating and looking at everything...

Here's a picture of one of our sister ships.

This was taken in our cabin. It had some pretty artificial lighting as you can see, but it was a good size surprisingly for a boat..

This was our fancy dinner... This one had seafood in the paste...

This was a watermelon soup... wasn't too thrilled about the celery in it..

Spinach salad...

Steak.. always yummy!

And... desert... some mousse with pastries!

We finally took off at night... Here is a beautiful photo of Miami as we are leaving.

Cruise trip: the beginning

Last week, I went on a cruise. Here is how it began... We first went to the Hyatt in Miami a day before we were to board our ship. This is the view from my room. Miami seems to be in makeover mode... everything is being torn down or built up.

The next morning, we got on a bus that transported us to the ship... and while I was waiting for the bus to start... I saw this! All I have to say is that crocs are absolutely horrendous. I kept seeing these ugly shoes all throughout my vacation. Why is it that so many people must wear crocs when they are on vacation??

Ah... finally, I see a ship... Guess what, while we were having our passports checked, I see this cute little girl with pink fashion faux pas!

Scariest and/or Neatest Places to Live

Just some of the cool stuff that I happened to see on the web today...

WHAT???

Since my day has been wholly uninteresting, I'm here to tell you some silly stuff.

1. 1.5 inch tall working television... although, if you wanted a truly working doll house, this would be a lovely addition.

2. Japanese humanoid anime sex dolls.
japanese latex doll

eww... come to find out, this is very popular in Japan, and these strange dolls are very expensive (thousands of dollars, more than my dinky car!)... If you are the epitome of pathetic, you must own one... some own over 40... don't know what makes these individuals... maybe very rich pathetic idiots?

3.LONG HORSE????

All I've got to say is this is so stupid... I cannot believe that Boing Boing would participate in such a hoax. Crazy photoshoppers...

CRASH!!!

Let me just first say that towing companies are some of the most unethical companies in the world. The bf got into a car accident last Friday, and they charged him $400 just for towing it away from the crash site.... absolutely ridiculous.

I guess the guy in front of him stopped very rapidly, to the point where smoke was coming out the side of his car, so bf down shifted twice and stepped on the brakes as hard as possible... but alas, it was too late. A girl behind him hit his car also... so his car is totaled...

Chances are, it will cost over 4000 to fix the vehicle, in which bf deemed it pointless... ah! but it will probably cost over 800 just for towing!

You know, it doesn't take a freaking genius to tow someone's car... there's no research, innovation, or design to it... Cannot believe that charges can be so high for something so brain dead...

Someone should really start a towing/repair shop in one, and not charge ridiculous fees... There would be so much money involved... and so much more ethical...

arg... I really did wish that bf would have asked them to tow it to a repair shop... but, I don't think he knew one off-hand... but, I could have always told him one over the phone...

update: Bare Minerals experience

So, this morning, I applied some face moisturizer before applying the bare minerals. Bare minerals seems to have the same amount of coverage as a regular foundation. It is kind of drying... it stings a little after application, even with the moisturizer. It is pretty weightless. I guess if it really does claim to be as good for your skin as wearing nothing... this makeup is perfect for people who want coverage without damaging their skin...

It claims that it does not wear off... however, when I press a piece of paper to my face... the piece of paper gets a stamp from the foundation...

bare minerals really bare...

I'm planning for my cruise, and I know it will be HOT... and everyone has heard (or at least should have by now) that Bare Minerals foundation holds up in extreme weather... Last night I went to Ulta... spent 60 dollars for a starter kit...

But, here's the deal... I put it on this morning... and I swear... I don't see a difference from my true naked skin... Could it be possible that I have flawless skin that matches the medium foundation down to the T??? I highly doubt it... the blusher did show up though...

Well, it certainly is light... I can't feel it or see a difference... I'll try throwing on some moisturizer
beforehand tomorrow...

CHEAP cheap- The very best way to buy clothes!

I have always been very trendy. I love checking out new outfits at the mall, and am always searching for new must-haves, and original items.

Recently, I adopted a little kitty, and she has usurped all of my time. Though she was expensive... I had to pay her adoption fee, huge medical since she was sick when I got her, series of shots, two cat trees, tons of toys and other essentials... She has, in a way, saved me a lot of money. Because of her pitiful little mews and constant trailing at my heels, I feel VERY very guilty about leaving her by her lonesome. This has cut down numerous shopping trips.

Well, the other day, Anna's Linens had a great deal on a down comforter, and I just had to get it! I also wanted to take a trip to the mall too to do some shopping for a cruise that I will be taking in a week and a half, but, alas! The kitty!

Anyway, turned out Anna's Linens great deal had expired, but I did manage to go next door to a Hispanic clothing store. This satisfied my mall need without devoting too much time to shopping. The outfits in the front seemed a little too racy for me, but I gave it a shot anyway. Well, let me just tell you, I was amazed! The place was really big, and there were MANY MANY items I would definitely wear. But, get this... a quarter of the clothes were on sale for 3 dollars! And believe it or not, some of these 3 dollar tops would have never digressed beyond 20 at a regular retail store. I ended up purchasing three 3 dollar tops, two soft soft sweaters at $11 and $14 (these were at regular price), and a sexy little dress number for $16 (also at their amazing regular price). The clothes fit amazing too!

So, to all the ladies reading, please don't be afraid of stepping into a store just becomes you might be surrounded by another race. The store was full of friendly people (I even got hit on by a guy who couldn't speak English), great deals, and aside from some upbeat Latin music, there really wasn't a difference... except for the great tag prices!

I will post pictures of my finds soon...

Now, I just need to find a Hispanic shoe store!!! :)

giddy bloom

So, my bf decided to do a bad bad thing... I won't divulge what exactly, but it is forgivable.

Anyway, last Friday, I was at work when all of a sudden, I get a call and someone is asking for driving directions to my workplace, saying that they were lost... ???... ok? Then, they say they have a package for me...

I rush to the door and (you guessed it) I received some beautiful blooms. Gosh, it must have been expensive for something that is momentary luxury... but I was very smiley...

But, oh no, it doesn't end there. Let's just say that what he did could not have been excused by a mere 6 fragrant roses...

That evening, he started having chills. And all through the night, he was sweating.

Let me stray off topic for just a second. I'm a huge believer in natural remedies, and I love lemons. I've been known to eat lemons since I was little, and my mouth is watering just thinking about them right now! And, I am the queen of drinking pure lemon juice. I have drank glass fulls of it in high school without any repercussions.

Anyway, in the morning, I handed him two little little slices of lemon, telling him that he needed to take it in order to bolster his immune system. He asked me how angry I was at him. I responded by ten feet. He asked if he ate two slices if it would shorten how angry I was. "One inch of reduction," I told him. So he ate it...

Since then, he's eaten a total of 6 slices, 2 at each sitting. He's not sick anymore, and he's lost 3 inches of anger from me. :)

But, MAN, I wish so much he would give me permission to post the pictures of him eating lemon... so funny! He literally looks like dying...
